Classic Cars: 1956 Chevy

Just an average day, doing some shopping, and what pulls up next to me but a cherry red 1956 (I think) Chevy.  That guy spent a few weekends on that, eh?  You see a lot of classic cars around here (no salt on the roads in Colorado), but that one was about the most elaborate.

Mayan Pyramids

Pyramids from a couple of places in the Yucatan, Chichen Itza and around there.

Most of these are from Chichen Itza.

That's me, climbing a pyramid. Notice how steep it is, and it's a long way down

Not all the pyramids are in pristine condition, or dug out completely for that matter. Notice how small the people are?

Milan, Italy train station at night

Some pictures I took at night at the Milan train station.  It's a huge, garish Fascist structure which really gives one the creeps at night!

A Walk Down Waldo Canyon

Let's go for a walk up, down and around Waldo Canyon. Wear comfortable shoes, it's over 6 miles and we up over a thousand feet.

This used to be the sea floor. Now it's one of the highest points on the continent. Go figure.

This is about as high as we're going. Downhill from here. Pikes Peak is looking fine.

That's the direction of Colorado Springs. Doesn't look like much? Well....

Don't forget to clean off your shoes before we get back in the car!

Five Random Shots of Venice

I took these in May 2009. I have tons more like these, so those who follow my picture trail are going to eventually get a full tour of Venice. Ah, Venezia!
